My Big Boy

I am so blessed to have Mathen in my life. Since the passing of a dear friends baby, Holden, I don't look at Mathen the same. My demeanor has even changed when I am responding to him daily. Not saying I'm being the perfect mother, but I am trying to stay aware that my sweet boy is only 2.5 yrs old and I can't expect him to be perfect either. I have enjoyed "my" moments with him more through out the day. I look forward to him climbing into bed with me when he wakes up. Then asking me, "Watch TV please?" He finds the remote, pushes the button and we cuddle as Mickey Mouse adventures unfold before us. Sometimes it is for 10-15 minutes and other days we might "hang out" in bed for a hour or so. These are the moments that get me through his "2 yr old stages" that occur more frequently it seems. No matter the day, I wouldn't change anything about my Mathen! I thank my merciful Savior daily for the sweet blessing He has allowed me to have.

 Hamming it up for the camera...Isn't he too adorable for words?? I might be biased :)

 He is so not camera shy and I take advantage of him saying "CHEESE."

 I also cherish the moments when I get to check on my sweet boy resting. Such peace comes over me everytime I see him sleeping. This is how we should rest in our Father's arms...not having a care in the world and knowing that He has everything under control.
